Covid-19: Mumbai’s TPR drops below 1 per cent

Both state and MMR see marginal dip in cases at 3,595 and 888, respectively

After witnessing a significant rise in the test positivity rate (TPR) on Wednesday, Mumbai’s TPR dropped below 1 per cent on Thursday. The city also saw a drop in new cases as numbers dipped below 500 along with a drop in Covid-19 fatalities as well. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 446 new cases were reported on Thursday along with two deaths. The TPR was 0.99 per cent.

Both the deceased had comorbidities and were above 60 years of age. The doubling rate continued to improve and was 1,279 days on Thursday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 431 people were discharged after full recovery on Thursday.
