Maharashtra govt orders CAG probe into BMC affairs in last two years

The investigation will cover the measures taken during the last two years and into the allegations of corruption and irregularities in awarding various contracts without tenders

The Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government on Monday ordered the Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) to investigate Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) affairs in the past couple of years.
The decision comes ahead of the BMC elections.
