Maharashtra: Rare Masked Booby bird rescued in Thane

A rare Masked Booby bird was rescued today near Patlipada in Thane, Maharashtra, by the Wildlife Welfare Association (WWA) NGO.

While, Rohit Mohite from NGO WWA ( Wildlife Welfare Association)  said, "A rare Masked Booby bird was rescued today near Patlipada by the Wildlife Welfare Association NGO. Locals spotted the bird struggling and alerted the rescuer, who promptly reached the location and safely secured the bird."

The bird, believed to be dehydrated and weak, has since been transported for veterinary observation. It is anticipated to be released back into the wild after it fully recovers. Meanwhile, the NGO has urged citizens to report any injured or distressed wildlife to them for timely assistance.
