The infant girl who was found abandoned in the Ashokvan nullah on October 27 has been discharged from Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli and moved to St Catherine’s Home in Andheri West. The Dahisar police are preparing to present the complete case report before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) on Sunday.

According to hospital authorities, the child, who survived despite being left exposed to the elements, has not only recovered remarkably well but has also drawn significant public attention, with several individuals approaching the facility expressing interest in adopting her. “After the incident was reported widely by the media, we received quite a few calls enquiring whether the baby was up for adoption. We have informed all of them to get in touch with the Dahisar police regarding the same,” said a senior official from the hospital administration.
