On Wednesday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to start the handover of the keys of 556 completed housing units in the redeveloped BDD chawls at Worli to their allotted beneficiaries ahead of the upcoming Ganesh festival.

In his letter, Thackeray pointed out that under Phase-1 of the BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project, 1,595 houses have been fully constructed in his Worli constituency. Of these, 556 units have already been allotted through a lottery system and are ready for immediate occupation. He requested that the keys be handed over without delay so that families can celebrate Ganeshotsav in their new homes.
