Mumbai's test positivity rate (TPR) saw a significant dip on Saturday as it recorded the lowest of the second wave at 0.51 per cent. Mumbai also saw a significant dip in new cases as numbers fell below 200. As per the BMC report, 195 new cases were reported along with one death. The deceased had comorbidities and was above 60 years of age.

As per the state health department report, 833 cases were reported along with 15 deaths across the state. The state’s case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 percent as 2271 recovered and were discharged on Saturday. Currently, the state has 10,249 active cases.
Apart from Mumbai, Thane Municipal Corporation reported the maximum number of daily cases in the MMR region with 38 new cases. It was followed by Navi Mumbai which reported 24 cases each. While Kalyan-Dombivili reported 19 cases, 10 cases were registered in Vasai-Virar and Panvel had 12 cases. MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered nine deaths. Kalyan-Dombivili reported five deaths. Raigad reported one death.
