Mumbai scores its fifth duck, TPR drops to .66 per cent

City sees zero deaths and 204 new cases on Monday; 224 patients were discharged

After registering a significant jump in test positivity rate along with new cases on Sunday, Mumbai saw zero deaths with a drop in TPR and cases on Monday. This is the fifth time since the beginning of the pandemic and the fourth in December that the city has reported zero deaths. BMC said Mumbai registered 204 fresh infections.

While the lowest TPR of the second wave was registered at 0.28% on December 1, the city’s first zero came on October 17. Since then, December 11, 15 and 18 threw up similar data. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 224 people recovered and were discharged on Monday.
