The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai for May 23 and 24, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour at isolated places.
According to the latest Mumbai weather updates from the IMD, the city is expected to experience cloudy skies with the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) along with heavy to very heavy rainfall across Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday, May 23.
