The city saw a marginal rise in COVID-19 cases on Friday after they dropped below 200 on Thursday. There were 230 cases recorded on Friday after 34,690 tests with the test positivity rate (TPR) of 0.66 per cent.

The city reported three deaths and all the deceased had comorbidities. One patient was between the age of 40 years and 60 years and two were aged above 60.
The doubling rate rose to 2,682 days on Friday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 248 people recovered and were discharged on Friday. Currently there are 16,322 positive people across the city.

The state’s case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent as 665 recovered and got discharged on Friday. Currently, the state has 8,106 active cases.
As per the state report, 404 cases were reported in the MMR including cases from Mumbai. Apart from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai reported the maximum number of cases in the MMR with 33 new cases. It was followed by the Thane Municipal Corporation which reported 28 cases.
While Kalyan-Dombivli Corporation reported 19 cases, 20 cases were registered in Panvel.
MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered 20 deaths. Thane district reported five deaths.
