Panvel and Navi Mumbai record spike in COVID-19 cases

In the last five days, the Panvel corporation added 777 cases, while the Navi Mumbai corporation added 1,050 cases, thus taking the total number of active cases to 1,110 and 2,012 respectively.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) reported 318 COVID-19 cases, while the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) registered 212 cases on Wednesday.
As active COVID-19 cases in both corporations have multiplied in the last few days, the officials said that restrictions may be increased in areas that have the most number of cases.
