Since March 2020, Maharashtra faced the worst of Covid-19 during both the waves. However, things are looking up as, on October 26, the state fully vaccinated 3 crore citizens.
On October 27, Mumbai reported 420 new cases along with four deaths. Meanwhile, Maharashtra saw an increase in cases for the second consecutive day. The state's Covid-19 fatalities also saw a marginal rise. As per the state health department report, 1,485 cases were reported along with 38 deaths.

On October 30, Mumbai touched a milestone as it reported 301 fresh cases despite the festive season continuing in full-swing. Also, the doubling rate improved to 1,555 days.
Mumbai achieved a major landmark on November 1 as Covid-19 cases fell below 300. Maharashtra’s case-fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent.
