The meteorological department in Mumbai had issued an "orange" alert for the city, indicating the likelihood of severe to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas throughout the day
The IMD had on Tuesday issued a ‘Red’ alert for Palghar and Raigad district in Maharashtra for July 19. The weather bulletin said, "Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places was very likely"
