Dubai Babu is a perfect example of bad direction, where the director doesn't know the meaning of
creativity. The story is sloppy and draggy, and lacks everything a good film has. Though the film
starts with some good shots, it just turns your hopes upside down in the first ten minutes.

What's it about: Babu (Upendra) an unemployed graduate has big dreams of going to Dubai and making
his life. Though he and his friends get cheated by fake travel agents in Mumbai, which cuts short his
Dubai trip. He meets the heroine Vasundhara (Nikitha) an RJ in Bangalore at Mumbai and love blooms
between the two. Once he gets back to Bangalore he goes in search of her and finally finds her.
(Director has forgotten this is the age of internet and cell phones!) Portrayed as a good human
being, Babu pays Vasundhara's pending bank loans and when she asks him about how he managed the money
being an unemployee, the story goes to the flash back about an underworld don Jinna back in Mumbai
and the story suddenly turns into a revenge plot. Kumar govind has a very small role as Vasundhara's
brother and Babu's best friend who gets killed by Jinna. Dubai Babu is a bad remake of Dubai Seena of
Telgu.
What's Hot: Dwarkish, Tennis Krishna and Sundar Raj have done a good job with subtle humour.
What's Not: Upendra and Nikitha. Though Upendra's dialogue delivery is good, he has not done any
justice to the role and nikitha has a long way to go. And Sadhu Kokila should seriously think of
quitting acting. His awful jokes are nauseating. And camera work is also not great.
Verdict: Spend your time and money on some other sort of entertainment!
