After MiD DAY reported the incident of a juvenile accused allegedly being urged by policemen to have sex with his mother, senior cops assure action

On Wednesday MiD DAY exposed the barbaric side of Delhi police. A day later, the ripples were felt.
"When I heard the incident I immediately ordered the ACP of the area to investigate the matter. We are waiting for the report and then we will take action against whoever is found guilty. Nobody will be spared," said Sharad Aggarwal, DCP (west Delhi).

On May 22, some policemen from the Rajouri Garden police post detained two brothers Raju, 12, and Ramesh, 10 (names changed) in a theft case. The juveniles and their parents Mukesh and Pooja (names changed) were allegedly beaten up by the cops. But the brutality didn't end there.

The family has alleged that some policemen forced the mother of the accused to strip and asked her to have sex with one of her sons. The policemen later released them and lodged an FIR of theft against the family. But an NGO found the victims and made them report the incident to the police commissioner. Now that an investigation is on, the victims see a ray of hope.

"I am glad to hear that top police officers are intervening in my case. I was so hopeless, but after the NGO people helped me, I am ready to fight for my family's pride. Both my sons are in a state of trauma. I don't know what the cops were trying to do but they made life hell for me and my family.

They have prepared an FIR against us but under what law can they torture us like this? I know that being poor is the biggest sin in this world, but if you can live with pride and dignity, poverty doesn't matter. I am waiting for the response of the police officers investigating this case," Pooja affirmed.

Reportedly, the ACP of the area took the victim to the police post to identify the guilty cops a few days ago. But the family alleges that the policemen tried to bribe them.
"They gave me 3500 rupees and told me to leave the area. Later, they even offered me 20,000 rupees to back off. But I am fighting on for my families pride," Mukesh said.
