After making Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut dance to his tunes in Kites, Sandip Soparrkar seems to be flying high these days. The ace dance master was in the city for Latino Nite when MiD DAY caught up with him.

How was your experience of choreographing Hrithik Roshan in Kites?
It was simply amazing. It was like a dream come true. Hrithik was fabulous. You show him one move and he picks it up and makes it look even better.

Hrithik is a good dancer, but people say that Kanaga has two left feet.
People said that I'd have a bad time with Kangana. However, she was quite a surprise. Her level of enthusiasm was amazing and she really worked hard on her dance. Besides, she was extremely friendly and down to earth.

You have choreographed several stars. Is there any one whom you would like to work with?
Well, I always wanted to choreograph Hrithik, Shahid, Madhuri and Helen. I don't know if I'll get a chance to work with Helen, but I hope that my dream of working with Madhuri comes true.

What is the most sensational dance sequence you have ever seen?
It's in Strictly Ballroom, which is an Australian movie. There's a number called Paso Doble (Spanish Bullfight Dance), which has been choreographed very well. Also, there's a tango in Shall We Dance, which is done very beautifully. Actually, the sensuousness and the other emotions were displayed skillfully in the dance number.

What are the other projects you are working on?
I have Raftar with Neha Dhupia and Emraan Hashmi, Phir Kabhi with Mithun Chakraborty and Dimple Kapadia. And then there's Cyclone, which has 14 dance forms. Besides, there's also an international project with Penelope Cruz.

Work is all that Britney and I share. I had choreographed the Womaniser number for her Circus tour. That's it.

From PR to dance. How did this transition take place?
It's very simple. Like PR, even dancing is about maintaining relationships.

While in PR one has to deal with those in the media, in dancing one has to maintain a healthy relationship with one's body.

How does it feel like being a single father?
I don't think there's anything called a single parent. The extended family always helps in taking care of a child.
