BJP's Mumbai unit plans to hold a road show when Narendra Modi arrives tomorrow to attend a function. As many as 100 buses have been allotted to bring supporters from South Mumbai
When Narendra Modi arrives at the city airport at 4.45 pm on Monday, the politico is expected to be greeted by no less than 10,000 people. Well, that’s what seems to be the plan as the Bharatiya Janta Party’s (BJP) Mumbai unit plans to organise a major road show, as a show of strength for Modi’s benefit.

Modi would be in Mumbai on Monday to attend a function at a suburban five-star hotel. The BJP has asked all its members, office bearers and everyone who support Modi to come to the airport to welcome him. They have even gone a step ahead and have decided to arrange 100 buses full of people for the rally, only from South Mumbai. A similar example is being followed by the party workers from different districts of BJP. There are six such districts in the city and approximately 10,000 people are expected to turn up.
Confirming the same, Niranjan Shetty, the party’s spokesperson told SUNDAY MiD DAY, “Yes, we have asked all the party office-bearers to come out and show their support at the airport when Modiji arrives on Monday. We are excepting a huge crowd at the airport.” Even though Modi is coming to the city for an event with no political connect, Shetty said that they are going all out to welcome him, as it is his first visit to Mumbai after his announcement as the party’s candidate Prime Ministerial candidate. “We want to show our support to him,” he said.
A party bearer from South Mumbai claimed that they have asked every Modi supporter to come and support them. “We have booked nearly 100 buses and will fill them to their maximum capacity,” he said. What this also means is that the already traffic-ridden Weestern Express Highway will be jam-packed on Monday evening, as party sources claim that they will carry a road show procession for Modi from the airport to the hotel in Bandra West, where Modi is going to be delivering a speech.u00a0
