Twenty-five touts were arrested by the Anti-Fraud Squad and the Vigilance Department of Northern Railway during a week-long special drive to curb sale of illegal tickets in the summer rush.
The drive, carried out from June 1-7, was carried out at various booking and reservation offices here, a Railway release said.
The touts were handed over to the RPF for further prosecution Under Section 143/144 of Indian Railway Act, it said.
During the raids, 64 persons were detected travelling on transferred tickets and a sum of Rs 30,690 was realised as penalty from them.
