Movie gets U/A tag after producer agrees to change terrorist Qasab's name to Aasab

A filmu00a0inspired by the book 'The Last Bullet' authored by Vinita Kamte, widow of 26/11 police hero Ashok Kamte, is set to release a day prior to the third anniversary of the terror attack on Mumbai. Called Hello Jai Hind, the film focuses on a question many Indians are asking: why the captured terrorist Ajmal Qasab has still not been hanged?

Producer Trupti Bhoir said there was a long fight with the censor board and eventually they had to change the name of Ajmal Qasab to Ajmal Aasab in order to get the U/A certification for the film. Produced by Trupti Bhoir and directed by Gajendra Ahire, the film has Nitin Desai, a noted art designer and actor, with Bhoir, Kedar Shinde, Vinay Apte, Ravindra Mankani and Vibhavari Deshpande in its cast.

Ilayaraja, the famous Tamil music director, has scored the music for the film. Hello Jai Hind will be released in 250 theatres across the state.

Special police show
There is also a screening of the film planned for the police force in the city. "We will be organising a special show for the Pune police," said Bhoir, who is also playing the protagonist Durga, wife of a brave police constable Shivaji Pawar (Nitin Desai) in the film.

Agony of widows
The film depicts the agony of widows who, like Vinita Kamte, lost their husbands in the November 26, 2008, massacre. "To give the movie a touch of reality, we have used real life footage from 26/11," said Bhoir. "The film is not about 26/11 but about the state of the families of the 200 people who lost their lives. We have raised the question why Qasab is still alive and has not been hanged even after three years. This sensitive issue is being highlighted in the film."

Director Ahire said 26/11 was still relevant to everyone.u00a0"We took a risk of casting Desai as a brave police constable in the film and he did justice to the character. He is the one in the film who tries to kill Qasab at CST, but gets killed in the firing. Desai also contributed quality work towards set designing in the film," he said. "The film is certainly inspired by 'The Last Bullet' but the story line is totally different." Ahire has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics of the film.

Video game to promote film
TO promote the film, the makers of Hello Jai Hind have created a promo with a video game called 'Hang Kasab'. The game has been created by Vikrant Bedekar and Hitesh Naik.

"We were working on the game for the last 15 days and finally it is uploaded with the cinema website https://www.hellojaihind.com/," said Bedekar. "The game has Mumbai's Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus as the backdrop."
