“Former Vice-Chancellor Dr Arun Adsul, Prof Shruti Tambe and Prof K R Gawai will be the members of this committee. The committee will submit its report in the next 15 days,” confirmed Gade. Kamble has sent on a 15-day compulsory leave. “He will not come to the department till the final report is out,” Gade said.
Students form the Physical Education Department once again bunked lectures and gathered outside varsity’s main building and shouted anti-Kamble slogans yesterday. They gave the varsity officials time till tomorrow to sack terminate Kamble’s employment.
Students said they would lodge a police complaint against Kamble if he was not sacked by tomorrow. “Varsity administration is unnecessarily backing Kamble sir. We have proofs against him, which include indecent text messages and social networking posts, among others.
We’ll wait till Saturday. We will seek police help and file a complaint against Kamble if he isn’t sacked by then,” one of the students said. “This three-member committee includes professors from the varsity itself. There is every possibility of manipulation. Hence we don’t want to wait for another 15 days. If no action is taken till tomorrow, we’ll approach the police.”u00a0
