Based on a tip off, a team led by Koramangala inspector Nagraj K aided Excel Salon and Spa on 6th block Koramangala and found two skimpily clad women engaged in inappropriate positions with a client. The police detained women along with the client, Shivraj from Austin town.
Nagraj later detained Thermomin Thesma (26), the owner. Investigations revealed that Thesma had availed the license from the BBMP to run a beauty parlour, but when the business didn't click she resorted to a massage parlour, since it was a more lucrative option.
Thesma employed few girls, who would offer body-to-body massage along with other sexual services. Thesma told the police that with here new 'venture', she recovered all the losses she had suffered when she was running the saloon.
On the face of it, the saloon looked normal. The staff would attract new customers using the time-tested methods. Once they identified potential customers, they would offer them 'special services', such as various types of massages. They soon had a list of regular customers, who work as IT professionals, students, and businessmen.
The police have recovered five liters of oil and around Rs 1,500 from Thesma. The police have booked the two women, Shivraj and Thesma under the Immoral trafficking act and remanded them to judicial custody. "We have sealed the parlour and would inform the authorities cancel their licence," Nagraj said.
