The 75-year old Sunday Bazaar near Majestic will be discontinued to curb the free availability of arms and ammunition there.

The Sunday bazaar on BVK Iyengar road near Majestic is being discontinued.
Police have decided to wrap up thisu00a0nearly 75-year second-hand weekly market that had everythingu00a0from food, clothes, household goodsu00a0to arms and ammunition for the rowdies.u00a0And everything here was available at throw-away prices as they were mostly smuggled goods that is available in "chor-bazar".
In order to curb the free availability of arms such as swords, knives and other lethal weapons, police took this step.u00a0
People of the area will surely miss this weekly pilgrimage,u00a0that characterised a part of Bangalore.
