Techie Mahesh Kalge (30) and his parents were accused of abetting the suicide of his wife Tejashree in December 2007. Then, his wife was found to be alive.
After spending almost 30 days behind bars, Kalge submitted an RTI application questioning the use of Section 306 of IPC against him for abetment of suicide and the charges levelled against him in the chargesheet submitted in November 2007.
A month ago, when Kalge submitted all the evidence before the court, the court asked Chinchwad police to take action against 12 people, including two doctors at the Lokmanya Care Hospital, for issuing a fake certificate declaring Tejashree was serious even after she was discharged from hospital.
The court also issued orders to the Director General of Police to take action against the police officers responsible for falsely implicating Kalge in the case.
Since no action was taken, Kalge, a resident of Parijatban Society in Shiridharnagar, has once again approached the court and submitted an application.
"My wife allegedly consumed poison and after this my mother Shankuntala admitted her to Lokmanya Care Hospital," said Kalge.
He said after his wife had recovered, he informed her parents and they slapped a case under Section 498(A) against him, his parents Shakuntala and Subhanrao, and his married sister and arrested them.
