The court allowed him to attend the meeting under heavy police protection after village’s gram panchayat submitted an application in the District and Sessions court. The court did not allow him to go to his house, and granted him the permission to only attend the meeting.
“It was mandatory for every member to attend the gram sabha meetings. Also, as some general bills had to be passed, his presence was necessary,” said a member, requesting anonymity. He added that they approached the District court and had submitted an application, following which Mohol was granted the permission on Thursday.
Mohol’s friends and relatives flocked to the gram panchayat office to meet him. His relatives even brought home-cooked food for gangster.
Mohol was taken back to Taloja Jail via the Pune-Mumbai Expressway.u00a0
