According to reports, Hazare, who was admitted to the hospital on August 28, will now go directly to his hometown Ralegaon Siddhi.
India''s top cardiologist Dr. Naresh Trehan, who was monitoring Hazare's health condition along with at his medical team, earlier in the day said the veteran social activist is recovering well and has begun to consume soft solid food.
Briefing mediapersons about 74-year-old Hazare's health, Dr. Trehan said: "Mr. Anna Hazare is actually progressing quite well. So, his parameters of the vital signs that we talk about is, blood pressure is now what is normal for him is 140/90. And his pulse rate is 80. And his temperature and oxygen saturation are all normal now."
He said that Hazare's vital organs like the kidneys are doing reasonably well, as there were worries due to symptoms of starvation.
Dr. Trehan said Hazare's weight stands at 67 kilograms. He further mentioned that the social activist has started walking around and he could be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days.
After securing Parliament's nod on key elements of Jan Lokpal bill, Hazare broke his over 288 hour-long fast on Sunday declaring that electoral reforms will be next on his agenda.
The latest developments came after both the Houses of Parliament on Saturday agreed in principle with Hazare's three key demands.
Both Houses of Parliament adopted a resolution on the sense of house accepting key demands of Hazare on citizen charter, lower bureaucracy to be under the ambit of Lokpal and establishment of state Lokayuktas and power of Lokpal to penalise grievance redressal mechanism violators.
