32-year-old Dinesh Yadav from Patna had set himself on fire near Rajghat on August 24, trying to make a statement on the lokpal issue
On August 24, Dinesh Yadav, a 32-year-old man from Patna immolated himself in support of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Capital.

The incident was reported from Rajghat when the man, shouting slogans in support of Jan Lokpal Bill, set himself on fire using kerosene oil. Passers-by rushed to save him but he received 80 per cent burn injuries in the incident. Police were informed by onlookers and he was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital.

Yadav died at the hospital on Monday. "His condition was extremely serious. He had sustained 70-80 per cent burn injuries in that incident. Sadly, his health started deteriorating in the last two days," said a doctor from LNJP on the condition of anonymity. However, the medical superintendent of LNJP, Dr Richa Diwaan was not available for comment.
