The training centre will be able to impart training to more than 3,000 police personnel and the training will be match up with the standards of the National Security Guard.

The centre will be set up on a 50-acre plot of land. The proposal has been forwarded to the state government and in a few days, it will get the necessary sanctions.

"Only Israel and Bangladesh have such a training facility. The centre will be the first of its kind in India," Dighavkar said. "The centre will have state-of-the-art facilities, including hostel accommodation, library, firing range, parade ground, study room and other facilities."

He said the centre would extensively use the available expertise in the country to impart training.

"Lectures and seminars on cyber crime, international relations, economics and socio-political equations will be arranged in coordination with various universities, paramilitary forces, defence institutes and international organisations," Dighavkar said.
