Most part of the area had a power-cut from 8.30 am to 6.15 pm. Adding to their woes, officials from Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) did not answer calls of residents.
Vijaya Yadav, resident of Balaji Park said, "We just get Sunday off and it turned out be to a complete waste. I could not do any of pending household work." There was no prior notice given before the power-cut.
Many even tried calling the MSEB office but in vain. Among the three numbers mentioned, two did not work and one was engaged throughout the day.
