Bangalore boy to attend Oz Asia Pacific summit

Pradeep Sebastian (33), a media consultant from Bangalore, has been selected from more than 2,000 applicants to undergo training on climate science from Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former US Vice President Al Goreu00a0 Al Gore at The Climate Project Australia Asia Pacific Summit (A-P Summit) in Melbourne.u00a0

u00a0"I still cannot believe that I have been selected as a delegate from India to be present at the Australia Asia pacific summit. The climate crisis is a challenge for all of us. I am really excited and looking forward to meet Al Gore." Pradeep said.

Delegates were selected based on their commitment to raising awareness about climate change and their ability to communicate to a range of audiences. "I have been working with various NGOs like Green Peace, Other Media, et al, for the last 10 years. I also own a website, www.aranyam.org,u00a0 dedicated to create awareness on nature and wildlife conservation" Pradeep said.

The A-P Summit will bring together 300 people representing a broad cross section from Australasia and the Asia Pacific region. The event will be held from July 11 to 13, 2009.
