City police chief Shankar Bidari on Sunday awarded a joint prize of Rs 20,000 to Anil Kumar (22) and Ananth (22) who chased a gang of chain snatchers and caught one.
Anil Kumar, a resident of Vidyaranyapura, was returning from the RTO with his friends Venkatesh and Ananth on Saturday after getting his bike registered.
The friends then witnessed a gang in an autorickshaw trying to snatch a gold chain from a woman.
