Delhi police is probing into some shocking revelations made by two Nepalese nationals, who were arrested a few days ago from Mehrauli area. The cops suspect that the duo has links with bikini killer Charles Sobhraj. The two persons were arrested on June 19 with two kg of charas. They were identified as Bishal Magar and Deepak. Sobhraj is currently behind bars in Nepal.

"We have a suspicion that Sobhraj might be operating from inside the jail as the two caught have given us hints of their linkages with him. Though we haven't worked further on the leads, one of teams is likely to go to Goa and Kullu Manali to act on the tip-offs received from the interrogation of the duo," a senior police officer said.

Infamous
Charles Sobhraj is a serial killer of Indian and Vietnamese origin, who preyed on Western tourists throughout Southeast Asia during the 1970s and is nicknamed "the Serpent" and "the Bikini killer" for his skill at deception and evasion.

Police officers also said they are trying to identify the route via Nepal which is being extensively used by the miscreants to traffic drugs into India and that it has now become essential to identify the same. "We are trying to find out more about the gang's modus operandi," police sources said.u00a0u00a0

Two cases under NDPS Act have been registered at police station Mehrauli. Their clientele includes students, businessmen and professionals and they supplied through their network in Goa, Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai.
During investigations, it has been revealed that the accused are permanent residents of Nepal. It has also been disclosed by them during the investigation that they get the charas from Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, supplied from a person named Bikash Magar who is the kingpin of the gang and resident of Nepal and they further supply the Charas in retail from different pre decided locations.

Toying with the law
Charles Sobhraj spent more than twenty years on the road across Asia befriending backpackers, drugs-smugglers, diplomats and businessmen, then allegedly drugging, robbing and finally strangling or burning his acquaintances. The sixty-year-old has been on the run from police in Hong Kong, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece and France. Charles Sobhraj has allegedly committed at least 12 murders. He was convicted and jailed in India from 1976 to 1997, but managed to live a life of leisure even in prison.
