Suspected militants exploded a bomb on a railway track and damaged a goods train in Assam's Golaghat district, official sources said here today.

The bomb, kept on the railway track near Naojan, exploded at 11:45 pm last night damaging two coaches of the goods train and a part of the railway track.

There was, however, no casualty or injury. Rail services were disrupted for a few hours but it resumed early this morning.

The ULFA or the Adivasi National Liberation of Assam (ANLA) could be behind the incident as both the outfits are active in the area, the sources added.
