Blogs debate on B-school MMS scandal

The cyber space is abuzz over a Noida B-school girl's striptease scandal. While some blogs discuss the ethical part of it, some others indulge in the blame game.

Theu00a0clipu00a0shows a 23-year-old student of a Noida B-school strippingu00a0in front of her lover, who allegedly leaked it after having been spurned by her. The story was first reported by MID DAY.

Blogger Subhadeep Bhattacharjeeu00a0says that the clip has now become one of the "hottest searches" on the Internet and is "available on most MMS sites."

The blogger further says the incident has "reminded us of the DPS MMS scandal some years ago."

The blogger is wondering whether technology will be blamed in this case.

"Now a chain of blame game will start from the educational institute to the person who invented camera phones, all will be blamed. Many 'custodians of culture' and 'over caring parents' will even demand the banning of camera phones and internet among ADULTS (at 23 these people were no youngster). Now the questions is technology to be blamed here?"

The blogger himself has the answer: "Technology is for use and not for abuse. The culprit here are two individuals and not the entire students community," says the blogger.

He puts the blame on the girl. "Was stripping the only option left for her to express love towards her boyfriend? Now the guy will surely be booked under cyber crime and other acts of the IPS but for the girl she had already been booked under shame and disgrace," says the blogger.u00a0

"The society is no culprit for the shameless act of two individuals. They have just abused both technology and their freedom," he concludes.

This bloggeru00a0feels that print media has come under severe criticism for publishing facts about the victim in the Noida 'strip tease' MMS scandal, which is 'unethical' and establishes the "girl's identity."

"Further, the papers didn't stop at naming the locality and even publishing the visual from the clip (just face blurred) of the MMS. Everything about the girl was mentioned,"

"The photo clearly shows the cupboard, the chair and the room in such a way that every relative and acquaintance of the girl's family will have no problem in identifying the victim," adds the blogger.

Here's a websiteu00a0which says that copies of the sex clip were available on major file sharing websites like rapidshare, megaupload and other free file sharing websites.

However, some of them were deleted and re-uploaded many of times to avoid detection and legal hassles.

Another bloggeru00a0feels that the girl didn't seem have to have "any objection when the MMS was being recorded on the cell phone. In fact she seems to be quite at ease while performing the striptease, aping all those innuendos of a profession striptease dancer."
