Bodies of woman, daughter found with throat slit

The bodies of a woman and her daughter were found with their throat slit inside their house near here, which was set ablaze by the unidentified culprit, police said today.

Fire service personnel, who rushed to the spot, found the two women, aged 50 and 20 respectively, dead with their throat slit with a sharp weapon.u00a0

The woman's husband was found in an unconscious state, near the house.

Police suspect that the man would have murdered the women and taken sleeping pills in an attempt to commit suicide.

A clear picture could emerge only after he regains consciousness, sources added.
