City court issues fresh summons for Delhi serial blast accused as Gujarat police fails to produce them
The states which came together during last year's serial blasts across the country, including in Delhi, seem to be seriously lacking coordination in prosecuting the accused terrorists.

A series of blasts had rocked the national capital on September 13 last year, killing 26 persons and injuring 135.
Some of the terrorists who were arrested from across the country after the serial blasts have been named in more than one charge sheet filed by various state police departments.
"They are in various jails, some of them are with us in Tihar while few are in Ahmedabad and Pune. We are coordinating with other states but often the case dates get jumbled up," said a senior police official, wishing anonymity.
The court has asked the Gujarat police to present the accused before it on November 26.
Accused Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Mohd Shakeel, Zia-ur Rehman, Saquib Nissar, Quamuddin Kapadia, Mohd Sadiq Sheikh, who have been charge sheeted in the Delhi blasts cases, are in Ahmedabad.
Mansoor Asghar Peerbhoy, Mobin Kader Sheikh, Akbar Ismail Chaudhary and Asif Basir Sheikh, who are accused of sending terror emails to different media houses minutes before the blasts, have also been taken to Ahmedabad. The Delhi Police have arrested a number of accused in relation to the blast and charge sheets have been filed against them.
Terror travel
Some of these terrorists are often transferred from one place to another for court hearings,u00a0 causing unwanted problems for cops during the transit. A month ago, the Delhi Police were caught in an embarrassing situation when cops were ferrying four terrorists to Ahmedabad for a court hearing on a train. Travelling in an air-conditioned compartment, the terrorists were found having a merry time, while passengers were terrified.
A Congress leader from Gujarat,u00a0 who was travelling in the same compartment, raised the issue with Railway officials but nothing happened.
Meanwhile, senior cops are clueless of any possible mechanism to avoid such a situation. "There is no way out. These terrorists have to be taken to different states for their court hearings and every time we can not arrange a separate mode of transportation for them," said the senior cop.
