A flat in Kothrud was burgled by unidentified people while its residents were away in Mahabaleshwar to seek admission in a school for a child in the family.

Au00a0flat in Kothrud was burgled by unidentified people while its residents were away in Mahabaleshwar to seek admission in a school for a child in the family.

Gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 7.6 lakh, a laptop and Rs 15,000 in cash were missing when the family returned to its flat in Shreeram society of Rambaug Colony on Paud road.

Rachana Tamhankar (26) filed the complaint in this regard at the Kothrud police station. The complaint lodged by her said the family had left for Mahabaleshwar on the morning of April 28 to seek admission for her sister's son. After returning home on Monday, the family found the latch of the front door broken with a hard object and the flat burgled.
