CISF chief spokesman Rohit Katiyar said that an independent probe was ordered after they received a complaint in this regard and they are hoping to crack the case soon.
Sources in CISF however said that the probe was ordered by Director General of CISF after he saw the report in MiD DAY on January 31.
On January 21, Gaurav Gupta was on his way to meet his friends at Connaught Place. He had entered the Metro station at Akshardham and after passing through the metal detector and getting frisked by a CISF guard, he moved ahead, only to be told by a fellow passenger to check his wallet. Shocked, he checked his pocket and realised that his wallet was missing. He then noticed it in the hand of a guard.u00a0
When he went to collect it, he saw the CISF guard keeping something in his pocket. On checking the contents of his wallet, he found a Rs 100 note missing. A fellow passenger also confirmed that the guard had taken something out from the wallet.
Now Gupta hopes to get justice in the case soon. "I got a call this morning from the CISF officials.
They enquired about the entire sequence of events which took place that morning. Rs 100 is a small amount but the nature of crime is grave.
u00a0I hope the actual culprit will be nailed through the CCTV footage." Gupta also complained that he was being harassed by some one related to this case.
u00a0"I got a call from some unknown number. The person took all my details but refused to disclose his identity and later threatened me and warned me against filing of the case."
