Murdered housewife wanted to visit her daughter in Melbourne; was denied visa
Had her visa to Australia not been cancelled, Ravinder Kaur Gill would have been alive today.
The wife of additional registrar of Supreme Court, who was murdered at her Saini Enclave residence in east Delhi on Wednesday, wanted to visit her daughter in Melbourne last September, a close friend of Gill's daughter said, requesting anonymity. Gill's daughter will be reaching Delhi today.
Meanwhile, the police claimed to have solved the case with the arrest of two people, Ravi Sinha, 22, and Hemant Kumar, 23. "They used to come to Gill's residence to repair furniture and thus knew she stayed alone. They came on Wednesday to kill her and rob valuables," the police said.
