Toyota Fortuner was lifted in front of a five star in Vasant Kunj

A Toyota Fortuner was stolen right in front of Radisson Hotel in Vasant Kunj area. The driver of the car had made a quick stop in the area to relieve himself on the way to the airport. Two unknown assailants took him at gunpoint and threw him from the running car at an isolated place in southwest Delhi.



Police has lodged an FIR in Vasant Kunj South Police station in this regard. A senior police official said that the victim, Pankaj Singh, is the driver of a west Delhi-based businessman Alok Aggarwal. Pankaj was heading towards Indira Gandhi International Airport to pick up Alok when the incident happened.

"When Pankaj went back to his car after answering nature's call, he found two men sitting inside. The two, armed with guns, told Pankaj to drive. They took his cell phone and broke its SIM card. They beat him up when he tried to raise an alarm," said the official.

"They pushed Pankaj out of the car in an isolated area and fled with the vehicle," added the official.
The official said that the victim had contacted Najafgarh Police. Later on an FIR was registered at Vasant Kunj South Police station. Police said that they are looking into the matter.
