Director Ashvin Kumar's inshallah football follows the life of Basharat Bashir Baba, the young, aspiring Kashmiri Football Player

When you see Bashir Baba flick his cigarette, gaze into the camera and say, "I was petrified that he would lose sanity, follow my footsteps and become a militant," you understand what the implications of a few misguided decisions can be when you live in Kashmir.

Bashir is a much-wanted leader of the Hizbul Mujahideen who gave up the gun. His son Basharat Baba considers football his passion and fuel. For the past three years, he has been training under Marcos, a FIFA accredited football coach by profession. Basharat could get a scholarship to play in the land of the legendary Pele. But he has been denied a passport by the Government of India. His crime -- that he was born the son of a militant. Don't miss the anniversary screening by Vikalp@Prithvi.
