Local court extends judicial custody of self-styled godman and four co-accused in sexual assault case
A local court today extended the judicial custody of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu and four co-accused for 12 days in the case of sexually assaulting a minor after the police sought time till November 6 to file the chargesheet.

"The investigating officer, who was supposed to field the chargesheet today, sought more time to file the chargesheet. The investigating officer told the court that they will file the chargesheet on November 6," counsel for the victim Manish Vyas said.
After this, the court extended the judicial custody of all the accused including Asaram till November 6. All of them were produced in the court today after the court had extended their judicial custody for one day on Friday.
Asaram, 72, was arrested in August on the charge of sexually assaulting a minor girl. He was also slapped with a fresh sexual assault case along with his son on October 6 following a complaint by two Surat-based sisters.u00a0
