Pune Warriors T-shirt with name and favourite number of buyers embossed on it among three most popular team colours

MOST cricket enthusiasts in the city may have given a thumbs down to the city IPL team jersey, but the thrill of sporting customised T-shirts with their names and favourite numbers embossed on them has fostered their enthusiasm.

And so the fortunes have not restricted themselves to the Pune Warriors team, but also trickled down to a website Myntra.com, which has tied up with various sports brands to cater to the whims of the cricket-crazed world.

The enquiries are pouring in, the orders for the personalised jerseys, numerous. An official from the website said that along with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, the demand for Pune Warriors jersey was also mounting.

Sanjay Ramakrishnan, senior vice-president, said, "We are selling at least 200 jerseys across the country. Though I won't be able to give an exact number, demand for Pune Warriors definitely stands among the top three."

He said the feedback for the Pune jersey was positive, which the buyers said were attractive and trendy.u00a0
The site has been selling these personal jerseys online for the last three years but Ramakrishnan said the demand this year was unprecedented.

"Those ordering the jersey can first preview the T-shirt with their name and number and can then place the order. We try and get the jerseys out of the warehouse in 24 hours and it takes three to five days to send the jersey to the buyer," Ramakrishnan said. A customer care executive from the site said the jerseys are being devoured like hot-cakes.
