PMC plans to repair 165-kms of roads across the city before the advent of rains
As monsoon is just a fortnight away, the PMC’s road department has decided to complete the road repairing work in the city by June 7. According to a survey conducted by the civic body, about 165 km of road stretch has to be repaired within Rs 9 crore.

PMC’s Standing Committee Chairperson Vishal Tambe said, “We have identified some specific areas in that fall under 15 ward offices where the work will be done on a priority basis. We will start the work on it from Wednesday.”
In Zone I, there are 25 spots in areas like Hadapsar, Nagar Road, Yerawda, Kondhwa and Wanawdi, where about 40,000 square meter of repair work needs to be done, while in Zone II (Ghole Road, Aundh, Warje, Karvenagar, Kothrud), a total of about 85,000 square meter of road resurfacing will be done.
In Zone III, about 40,000 square meter of repair work will be done in areas like Sahakarnagar, Dhankawdi, Tilak Road, Kasba and Vishrambaugwada.u00a0
