An Iranian woman was taken into police custody on Sunday evening after a citizen activist alerted the police, complaining to them that she was kicking up a noisy row at an internet booth in Koregaon Park
Yogesh Pingle, president of All Koregaon Park Citizens Action Committee, said, “The woman, Nina Tootonchi (see pic), has been staying at Suryavilla Hotel in the city for the last 40 days. She has been found creating a ruckus in an inebriated state at several hotels and internet cafes in the Koregaon Park area.”

Yesterday, while she was at Sonali Internet Café in Lane 7 off the North Main Road, she allegedly threw a tantrum. That is when Pingle called the cops. “She also hurls abuses at citizens and the police, and blankly refuses to pay hotel bills,” he added.
