Justice Veena Birbal dismissed the bail plea of 19-year-old Bhasin and said "The bail application is rejected considering prima facie evidence that he ran away from the spot...and the damages done to his BMW car."
Taking into account the gravity of the case and his conduct and the fact that the case is at an initial stage, the accused doesn't deserve to be granted bail, Justice Birbal said.
The accident took place on September 11 last year when Bhasin was driving his BMW car. He hit two men on a motorcycle around 2.40 am near Moolchand flyover in south Delhi. One of the two victims died later.
