If you live in Delhi, you need to have deep pockets. That's what a High Court judge discovered the hard way last week. Justice Anil Kumar had his pocket picked when he was in Connaught Place along with his wife and a personal security official.u00a0

A senior police officer said on the condition of anonymity that the judge had kept his HTC TyTN II mobile phone in the front pocket of his jacket and was walking through the A Block in Connaught Place's inner circle.

"Justice was pushed by an unknown person a minute before he kept his cell phone in his jacket's pocket. He checked his pocket and found the cell phone missing. As it was his official phone containing numbers of other judges he decided to get an FIR registered," said the police official.

The officer added that the incident took place at around 7.30pm outside the Wenger's confectionery shop. Satya Dev Prajapati, the judge's private secretary got an FIR registered in this respect.
"The pickpocket who stole the cellphone has not been arrested so far. The mobile was switched off after it was stolen. Investigations are on," police said.
