Did leopard kill missing 5-yr-old?

Nearly two weeks after a five-year old boy went missing from his residence in Goregaon, cops recovered his body from Sanjay Gandhi National Park yesterday. Cops suspect a leopard killed the toddler

The victim, Sunny Soni’s body parts were found just a stone’s throw from his home. Sunny went missing from Aadarsh Nagar, Charanpada, Goregaon on April 24. Yesterday, his skulls, leg bones and a bloodied T-shirt were found.

Sudhakar Khedekar, a villager, found Sunny’s body when he was on his way to the toilet. Shocked to see the carcass, he immediately informed the police. A neighbour of the deceased said, “We have seen leopards in our area and owing to their presence, we do not allow our children to go out at night.

Since development work has begun in this area, the leopards, owing to loss of habitat, have been prowling the area.”
