Four women artistes will shimmy to promote young talent in the industry

Diversity will be the theme of the Womenu00a0- The Shakti concert as patrons will witness dance forms as diverse as Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam and Chau. The classical extravaganza, demystifying the various avatars of the quintessential Indian woman, will boast of performances by Niharika Safaya and Anushree Sharma ((Kuchipudi), Hanish Sharma (Chau) and Bharathi (Bharatanatyam). Here's a curtain-raiser.

Mood Swings: The concert will pay tribute to the eight moods of a woman, called the Ashtanayika bhavas. For instance, Hanish Sharma's Chau presentation will take inspiration from the mythological character of Draupadi to display intense feelings of love and anger.u00a0 "Devotion, desire, anger and lust are some of the traits that will find mention in the performances," says informs Niharika Safaya, lead participant.
