A food court presents 15 varieties of Biryani at its food festival

For generations, this delicacy called biryani has pampered the taste buds of the rich and poor alike while tantalizing their imagination. Food lovers can directly attack the white and yellow rice, which look the same but are different in their tastes and contents. However, Kachi Gosht Biryani, the authentic form steals the show.

The succulent pieces of mutton marinated in pineapple juice melt in your mouth and goes well with the flavoured rice. The rest like Keema Yakhni biryani, Peshawari chicken biryani lack that extra edge. However, Chettinad Chicken biryani gives a spicy north-south tang.

But if you think that biryani is all about chicken and mutton, then this festival will prove to be a new learning experience. Here you will find generous pieces of prawn and seer fish in the biryani. The festival provides dinner and lunch buffet at Rs 199 for non vegetarian and Rs 169 for vegetarian.

Compared to all the above, however, vegetarian biryanis like Lucknowi Dum Biryani, Kashmiri Veg Biryani, Motichur Biryani come a tad dismal and taste more like pulao.
