The officials also recovered a bottle containing poisonous substance from the farmhouse. His body was sent to Ambejogai Rural Hospital for post-mortem. In the past, Kendre was arrested for his involvement in disposing off foetuses and ferrying women to Dr Rahul Kolhe’s clinic in Jalgaon for conducting sex determination tests.
Kendre’s relatives had said that he was innocent and was being framed in this case by social activist Varsha Deshpande, civil surgeon Gauri Rathod and a local reporter. The relatives had also demanded that their involvement in this case bescrutinised by the police.
“People are just finding reasons to stop me from carrying out my mission in the form of sting operations. Though I’m sorry for his death, but as far as Kendre is concerned, he was
not involved in the sting that I had carried out. It is the responsibility of the police to find out if he is culpable or not,” Varsha Deshpande said.
Inquiry on, says SP
Beed Superintendent of Police Dattatreya Mandlik said investigation was on and they were awaiting autopsy report. “Though, we have recovered a bottle containing poisonous substance from the farmhouse, we are considering other possibilities too,” Mandlik said.u00a0
