More than 14 professionals were allegedly duped by a Noida-based builder after being promised luxurious homes on NH-24

Their dream homes have become their worst nightmare. For last three years, more than 14 professionals are paying hefty EMIs every month for housing loan. However, not a brick has been laid since a Noida-based builder came up with residential project on NH-24 in 2006.u00a0

Nitishree Builders came up with the Shouryapuram project on NH-24 in 2006 but theu00a0 project work is yet to take off. The miffed professionals have registered a written complaintu00a0 with the Noida Police against the builder, alleging they were suppose to get the possession of their properties by June 2009.

The professionals have already paid a big amount to buy the property. "I took a loan of Rs 25 lakh to book a flat in April 2006. I was assured to get the keys of my house by June but the project never saw light of day," said software engineer Sourav Goyal, who is paying EMI of Rs 25,000 every month.

Goyal added: "I am in touch with the builders and they are forcing me to look foru00a0 other projects which are also incomplete. My dream house is lying in tatters today because of this chaos."

Another victim Kamal Sachdewa, who works in a financial company, had invested Rs 6.40 lakh to buy a plot under the Shouryapuram project.u00a0 "I had booked a plot in September 2005 and had invested in this project after seeing full-page advertisement in a newspaper. I have even got the allotment letter but surprisingly, there is no construction work in process at the site. I had even paid the development and parking fee to the builder," said Kamal.

When Mid DAY reporter, posing as a customer made a phone call to Nitishree Builders, an employee, named Mithlesh said, "Our Shouryapuram project is delayed because of the slowdown. Other projects are yetu00a0 to be completed."

u00a0But when the official was contacted for a official comment, no one was available to talk over the issue.
A Noida police official said, "We had received a similar complaint against the buildersu00a0 few months back." Apart for the written complaints, cyber space is flooded with negative reviews and online complaints against them.
